If your tour is guided, gratuities at the end of a tour are greatly appreciated! In the Tour industry, the usual guideline is 15% – 20%.

No, simply bring the confirmation email on your phone to show to your tour guide. For Hunt Tours, once you have solved your hunt, show the confirmation email to the treasure location staff.

All tours are enjoyed by guests of all ages. Tickets must be purchased for all guests over the age on 12 Months.
Hunt Tours are popular for all ages and are enjoyed by solo guests, couples, families with children, friend groups, team building, anyone looking for a fun learning adventure with a tasty reward.
For Guided Tours: As a parent, you will be able to best assess your child’s interest level for a guided tour, which is a food and cultural walking tour for several hours. Well behaved children are always welcome on guided tours. Strollers may be challenging on some of the uneven, narrow sidewalks. Please note: Strollers are not permitted in most tasting locations and must be left outside.

Tours are set at a casual pace and cover approximately 1 to 1.5 miles. Our tours have been designed to be mostly outside for your peace of mind. For Guided Tours, some tastings are seated, and some tastings are standing. Note on Guided Tours, there are some steps to be navigated.

Guided Tours make about six stops and serve a variety of foods that are enough for a satisfying lunch for most appetites.
For Hunt Tours: A tasty treat.

For Guided Tours, your tour guide, will provide you with a water bottle, but you may bring a water bottle as well. Most of your tastings will be foods and not beverages.
For Hunt Tours: We suggest bringing a water to stay hydrated.

Tours run in all kinds of weather. All tours are mostly outside, so rain gear is strongly suggested if there is a threat of precipitation. In case of harsh weather, such as dangerous storms, you will be contacted of a cancellation using the contact phone or email you provided at the time of ticket purchase or at gift certificate redemption.

Comfort is key! If it’s rainy, wear rain gear and bring an umbrella. If it’s hot, dress light and wear sunglasses. Footwear should be suitable for a 1.5-mile walk. Tours run rain or shine. Please check weather conditions on the day of the tour to dress accordingly.

The day closest to the beginning of your time in Cape May will give you the most time to take advantage of new places you’ve discovered and any discounts you receive with your tour.

For Hunt Tours: there are options for many types of diets including vegetarian.
For Guided Tours: We are unable to offer alternative tastings at this time, except for seafood allergy.

Hunt Tours can accommodate just about any number of guests from one person to large groups.
For Guided Tours: Public tours have a maximum of about 12 guests. Private Guided Tours can accommodate 10 guests or larger groups, contact us for pricing and details.

Almost. Our tours end a few blocks from our initial meeting point. For Guided Tours, your tour guide will be happy to direct you back to the initial meeting point. For Hunt Tours: There will be instructions to get back to your initial meeting point from the Treasure location.

Yes. All parking information, as well as the exact meeting point, will be provided after ticket purchase.

Uneven sidewalks in Cape May can be challenging, however guests in wheelchairs may be able navigate Hunt Tours.
For Public Guided Tours: Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not recommended as some steps are involved. As an alternative, a private group tour could be tailored to suit your needs.

Absolutely. For Hunt Tours: Take breaks when you need them. There is a public restroom on the Promenade (Cape May’s boardwalk) near the starting location. There are also public restrooms located behind the Washington Street Mall at Decatur Street, and in front of the Acme parking lot on Ocean Street.
For Guided Tours: When you check in, your tour guide will provide you with restroom information for your tour. There are several public restrooms.

For Hunt Tours: Any for the Hunt Tour information including, but not limited to, clues, clue answers, final solution photos, videos, or recordings of any nature are NOT PERMITTED, as this would ruin the fun for others. There are 2 locations on the Hunt Tours where Hunt Instructions encourage you to take and post photos.
For Guided Tours: Snap away to your hearts content! Post photos on all of your social media. What is not permitted are audio and or video recordings.

For Hunt Tours: You are on your own timetable. Shop or take breaks as much as you like. Just be sure to collect your treasure before 6pm or close of business hours of the treasure location on the date of your tour.
For Guided Tours: some of our tasting locations offer a code or coupon when you visit them On a Cape May Food Tours. They would love for you to come back and shop after your tour.

Yes! We’ve had many Cape May residents on our tours! They are so surprised by how much they learn about Cape May. They are amazed by the history, architectural background, fun stories, and tastings. Many of them are very excited to share their own interesting tidbits about Cape May, which makes us happy as well:)

True Service Dogs are welcome on all Tours. For Hunt Tours: Dogs are permitted on most parts of the tour, the Promenade restricts dogs for part of the year. Dogs are also restricted inside the treasure location business and on the Washington St. Mall.
For Guided Tours: Unfortunately, dogs and other pets are not allowed on the tour.
