Tickets must be purchased in advance. To ensure you get the day, time and number of tickets you want, please book well in advance. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 609 527 3131.

No.  If you do not have access to a printer, simply bring the Ticket email on your phone or write down important information about your tour and bring it with you to the meeting location.

Our tours have no age restrictions. Tickets are required for all tour guests over the age of 12 months.  Infants under the age of 12 months will not be participating in the tastings and will not have a seat.  As a parent, you will be able to best assess your child’s interest level for a 3 hour food and cultural walking tour. Well-behaved children are always welcome. Strollers can be challenging on some of the uneven narrow sidewalks. Please note : Strollers are not permitted in most tasting locations and must be left outside.

The tour is set at a casual pace and covers a total of approximately 1.5 miles. We will be seated at some of our tastings, but tour guests will be standing or walking for a good part of the tour. Note there are some steps to be navigated on the tour.

Cape May Food Tours makes 6 stops and serves a variety of foods which are enough for a satisfying lunch for most appetites.

Glasses of water are offered at some of the tasting locations.  Guests receive a water bottle on the tour.

Tours are held rain, snow or sunshine. Please check for weather conditions when deciding what to wear for the tour. Umbrellas and rain gear are strongly suggested if there is a threat of rain.  We will be able to go inside most of our tasting locations but we will be outside for a good part of the tour.

Comfort is key! If it’s rainy, wear rain gear and bring an umbrella. If it’s hot, dress light and wear sunglasses.  Footwear should be suitable for a 1.5 mile walk. Tours run rain or shine. Please check weather conditions on the day of the tour to dress accordingly.

For vacationers who come in on Saturday, Sunday is the best day for you to take the Historic Downtown Food Tour.  You’ll find restaurants, eateries and specialty shops you will want to and perhaps some discount codes that you will want to take advantage of during your stay.

Yes.  We will do our best to provide you with a vegetarian alternative at our tasting locations. Please let us know when you purchase your tickets that you are requesting a vegetarian alternative. Accommodations can be requested until 24 hours prior to your tour. Accommodations cannot be made at the time of the tour.

Please let us know of any serious food allergies or medically necessary dietary restrictions when you purchase your tickets. We will contact our tasting locations and do our very best to accommodate your needs. Accommodations can be made until 24 hours prior to your tour.  Accommodations cannot be made at the time of the tour.

Almost. Our tour ends a few short blocks from our initial meeting point. Your tour guide will be happy to direct you back to the initial point.

Yes. All parking information as well as the exact meeting point will be provided after ticket purchase.

Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not recommended for the Historic Downtown Food Tour. Steps are involved in several tasting locations. As an alternative, a private tour for a minimum of 10 guests can be tailored to suit your needs. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

Yes. When you check in, your tour guide will provide you with restroom information for your tour. There are several restrooms along the way.

Yes. Snap away to your heart’s content! Post photos on all of your social media.  What is not permitted are Audio and/or video recordings.

Gratuities at the end of a tour are greatly appreciated. In the tour industry, 15%-20% is used as a guidelines.

Gratuities received by Tour Guides are shared with wait staff.

Some of our locations offer a code or coupon when you have visited them on a Cape May Food Tour.  They would love for you to come back and  shop after your tour.

Yes! We’ve had many Cape May residents on our tours! They are so surprised by how much they learn about Cape May.  They are amazed by the history, architectural background, fun stories and tastings.  Many of them are very excited to share their own interesting tidbits about Cape May, which makes us happy as well:)

Unfortunately, dogs and other pets are not allowed on the tour. We welcome service dogs.

Absolutely! Cape May Food Tours Gift Certificates are available. They can be redeemed for your recipient’s date of choice from our Public Tour calendar. Accommodations for most allergies can be arranged.  Please CLICK HERE for information on gift certificates and purchasing.
